Warmaster Kislev Army - 15mm scale

Infantry and Warwagons

An army of Kislev will field two types of Infanty regiment. The hardy Kossars, and the Elite Red Guard.

Kossars: Axemen and Archers

The mainstay of the Kislevite armies, regiments of grizzled and hardened fighters, drawn primarily from among the many thousands of foresters and trappers who keep Kislev's stanitsas and cities fed. They fight with bows and axes, the two traditional weapons of the Kossars – symbolising the woodsman and the hunter. This ornate wargear is wrought to last a lifetime if well-cared for. Many is the wizened old Kislevite who has handed their axe down to their grandchild, telling tall tales of the countless Marauders or Chaos beasts it has slain.

Red Guard

The Kislev Red Guard are the Tzarina’s chosen guards, Unlike the Kossars these are full time professional soldiers. Each member of the regiment carries an enchanted halberd and a musket of the finest quality. These regiments have a long and storied history and are only committed in the most desperate of battles, the sight of their redcoats on the battlefield has steadied many a wavering line. Morale among the Red Guard is legendary: sworn directly to the Tzar or Tzarina, they refuse to yield ground and will fight to the last man rather than allow an inch of Kislevite soil to fall.

War Wagons

Manned by the renouned Red Guard an army of Kislev will often field these mobile bastions where the fighting is predicted to be fiercest. These vibrantly painted wagons provide close fire support for the front lines and disrupt charging formations of infantry and cavalry and monsters. In kislev there is a saying

“A wagons wheels only slide in sleet…”

what this means is anyones guess.
